Acceptable Use Policy
Note: In this document "APi"/"us"/"our" refers to APi Innovation Ltd and "your"/"you" refers to you, our client. When using any service provided by APi, you must at all times comply with the conditions of our AUP's and our Terms & Conditions.
Whilst it is not possible to fully document what activities would be considered "acceptable use" or "unacceptable use" of APi's services. APi has obligations to you, to our suppliers and to the wider Internet community. Our ability to provide services to you depends upon our servers and our connections to the wider Internet community. Therefore APi is required to take appropriate action to prevent and/or terminate any activity that adversely affects our servers, services or our connectivity to the Internet.
This AUP is a non-exhaustive document intended to provide guidance on what type of activities are, or are not, permitted by users of our services.
APi will consider all suspicions and allegations individually, on their own merit. Any decision made by APi in relation to our services shall be final.
APi reserves the right to amend or update these documents at any time.
Should any customer perform any practice or action that is considered unacceptable in the sole opinion of APi, APi reserves the right on behalf of itself and/or its sub-contractor(s) to remove content from APi's servers and/or suspend or terminate the customer's services. APi shall not be held liable for any loss however occasioned as a result of the suspension, termination or unavailability of a customer's service or material stored within it.
In the event of a customer's account being suspended, APi may (at its sole discretion) restore a customer's services upon receiving a written undertaking to fully comply with APi's AUP. Any decision to suspend or terminate an account will be made at APi's sole discretion, based upon the severity of the AUP violation.

General
- You may not assign, sublease, resell or transfer services provided by APi in any way.
- You may not attempt to violate the security of any website or other service.
- You may not attempt to access any website or other service that you are not authorised to use.
- You may not intentionally use the website or email facility to propagate computer viruses.
- You must not programmatically scan or probe any remote machine(s) or network(s) for any reason without the explicit permission of the administrator(s) of such machine(s) or network(s).
- You must not run any software that allows other users to utilise your machine(s), network(s) or website(s) as to perform any form of "abuse". This includes, but is not limited to; running insecure mail servers ("open mail relays") and failure to secure your machine(s) or network(s) against viruses and trojans.
- You must not send, nor facilitate or promote the sending of, Spam (unsolicited mass communications, UCE, UBE).
- You must not take part in, nor facilitate or promote, any form of Denial of Service (DoS) attack.
- APi reserves the right to manually or programmatically run such processes and procedures as APi sees fit to ensure compliance with APi's AUP's.
You will be held responsible for and accept responsibility for the contents of your account(s). Specifically, you must:
- Ensure that the content of your account(s) complies with English Law.Ensure that the content of your account(s) is not defamatory.
- Ensure that you have permission to publish any copyrighted, proprietary or secret material in your account(s).
- Not publish any offensive or obscene material in your account(s).
- Not publish or promote any software that is designed to send Spam (unsolicited mass communications, UCE, UBE).
- Not publish or promote lists of e-mail addresses, except where you have explicit permission from the owner's of the addresses to do so.
- Comply with the Data Protection Act.
